Environmental Science: Solar Panels
Summary: This article is about the impact solar panels have on the environment. The use of solar panels is called renewable energy. With invention like solar panels, were able to produce sustainable and environmentally-friendly energy without harming the earth. Solar panels not only create energy by converting light from the sun to electricity so nothing is burned, but produce no CO2 emissions. The largest source of power is burning coal, but every time solar power installation goes into use it reduces the amount of coal being burned. When burning coal and fossil fuels, it produces CO2, nitrogen oxide, and sulfur dioxide that pollutes our planet. With solar panels fewer pollutants will be released into the atmosphere. Burning coal, and fossil fuel can never be replaced because it's non renewable, solar panels on the other hand helps conserve these resources both for our own use and for our future generations. The creation of solar panels leaves no carbon footprint, and help us to preserve the Earth’s few remaining resources. They also provide clean, renewable energy for buildings, roadside signs and satellites. They don't harm the environment and will always be an important part of the renewable green energy scene.

Reflection: I chose this article because solar panels are one of the technologies that produce energy without harming the planet. Although solar panels are a bit expensive, there worth every penny. Solar panels are the best replacement, they don't pollute as much as burning coal, and fossil fuels would. Unlike the burning of coal, and fossil fuels, solar panels don't produce CO2, nitrogen oxide, or sulfur. They are a clean source of energy and provide renewable energy. The sun shines everyday, so why not use it's energy to create our energy. I think solar panels are one of the worlds best green energy source. Not only can solar panels go on the roof of your home, but they can also be used on large buildings, cars, and laid outside your schools parking lot. The more solar panels we use the fewer pollutants got out into atmosphere. It requires nothing but the Sun to draw energy and doesn't leave a carbon footprint. Solar panels also helps save our resources. Despite the price, I think that if everyone purchased solar panels on the roof top of their home, we can reduce pollution to our environment a whole lot.
